Absolutely gutted at the cancellation of the Australian tour. Missed out on the Surfacing Down Under tour and this was to be wish fulfillment of a 30 year dream. I suspect that the main problem was the promoters choice of venues (too large) and the ticket prices (way too high) as many of my fellow Rat fans were struggling to come up with the cash even for the 'cheap' seats. I do hope that we get another chance. In the meantime I look forward to watching scratchy footage off peoples phones on YouTube. Welcome back fellas, it's been too long. Ian Rat, Adelaide
I loved the appearence at the Seenland Festival in Germany last sunday. The setlist was shorter but similar to the two other festivals this summer. Unfortunately nobody asked for an encore because the audience was waiting for the main act "Die Toten Hosen".
Well they played one encore anyway;-) it was a new song, I think "The Boomtown Rats".
Hope they will come for some gigs in clubs in Germany next year to play for audiences that want to here them!
